Nehemiah Works Academy is committed to practicing and upholding the highest standards of professional conduct and ethics in the ministry of Christian and pastoral counseling. We are firmly rooted in Judeo-Christian values and Biblical ethics, and all members of our association are advocates for those in need—serving as faithful stewards under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
We recognize that our calling comes with accountability—not only to our clients and communities but ultimately to God. This accountability remains constant, regardless of location or setting, and applies to our professional relationships with counselees, colleagues, students, faith communities, and denominational bodies. We uphold these responsibilities by voluntarily embracing and practicing the principles outlined in our Code of Ethical Standards.
Pastoral counselors trained by Nehemiah Works Academy may serve in a broad range of environments, including but not limited to: churches, clinics, hospitals, schools, colleges, seminaries, and social service agencies.
The Nehemiah Works Academy Code of Ethical Standards is fully aligned with and compliant with the ethical standards set forth by our licensing body, the National Christian Counselors Association (N.C.C.A.)
